Fluffy’s wet nose: A very hot bunny. An explanation of our heroric actions.

So there is a bunny named Fluffy, today she was outside in that hot sweltering sun without any shade. He was out there for an hour or so and when I came to see him, his snout was unusually small. His snout was wet and looked like it had caved in. We found out on the internet that Fluffy was suffering from a heat stroke. I was supremely inclined to take Fluffy to the vet immediately  but my mom wasn’t so sure. After what, 7 days or so,  we took Fluffy to the vet. I ‘m kidding. In about an hour, there was Fluffy at the vet. In case you’ve never been to Belton Animal Clinic, it’s really boring. They take your animal to the back, shut you up in a small stuffy room and after an hour, they tell you how your animal is. In this case Fluffy was fine but according to the doctor, bunnies are very sensitive to heat so poor Fluffy could have been seriously well, heated and injured in a sun burned way. We found out Fluffy is a boy! We had always thought Fluffy was a girl. This process took about two whole hours. Then we clipped Fluffy’s way too long nails.  While we clipped Fluffy’s nails, I found a new way to pick Fluffy up. The vet also made Fluffy a special diet except Fluffy refuses to eat it that bad little bunny. Now Fluffy is better. I’m glad Fluffy’s so much better. I was so scared when Fluffy got that heat stroke but I’m also kind of glad Fluffy got the stroke because without it,we never would have known so many new things about that little bunny!!!

My perspective: Tippin’s Pie Festival…………………………………………………

It was at Hen house, the pie festival, and I had my I’m-not-so-excited-because-there’s-a-bounce-house-and-pesky-little-kids look on. We came in from the parking lot and got FREE ICE CREAM 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 :D!! I looked inside the pie tent, and there were $1slices of, French silk, Key lime, wild berry, lemon supreme, lemon merigune, chocolate merigune, blackberry, and caramel mocciatto suprise. we {mom and me} only bought 5 slices. After that, there was a pickle eating contest, and after a few bites, I gave up! The pie festival was not TOO fun…. But decent

Poem-2: Father’s Day Poem: What I Find Slightly Annoying and (Maybe) some Good Things About My Dad

For one thing, you are never here! Always annoyingly  somewhere else!

You weren’t even here to catch that crazy, food stealing mouse!

But that’s for work so I can spare you (maybe) from a lot of complaining,

You know, maybe I was just overreacting.

Then again, you are always wanting me to grow stronger,

don’t you know then I’ll have to grow longer?

For the more muscular I become,

I have to grow longer or I’ll look like a plum!

But you are helpful even though you sometimes are overdoing it,

it helps me in school even if you didn’t teach bit by bit.

You do teach me tennis though and that I like,

but why don’t you take me out to bike?

You like sports but you barely take me along,

there should a law saying “Hey! That’s wrong!”

But after all those slightly annoying things,

There some good things like you might be getting us some swings!

You are funny even though sometimes you make crack up to hard,

I’m glad you’re not fragile like a glass shard.

You always think ahead of time,

but you never come up with a good rhyme.

That is helpful during chess,

but I can win nevertheless.

You are nice but you like to smash mice,

I think the mice wants you frozen in ice!

You  swing me around until I get dizzy,

I’m glad someone agrees on things about that little missy.

I’m talking Elan the sometimes troublemaker,

I’m also glad you are not a baker,

I’d hate eating bread all day,

You take me swimming even in May! (When you could have been golfing)

Many things, good and slightly bad,

I still love you a lot because you are my dad!

Worlds of Fun: the Best Place Ever

Sorry I posted this a little late

It was a Sunday morning, I was just packing up all my stuff to get to Worlds of Fun. I was thinking about all the fun rides I went on last year the Mamba, Boomerang, the timberwolf, prowler, etc. Boy I am going to die there, I thought. I thought about the rides again. I was almost done packing up when my mom said, “Andy, get packed up, dressed up, and let’s go!”

I zipped my pack and went and put on my shoes. I opened the garage door, got in the car, and buckled my seatbelt. On the way we picked up Renny’s dad. He talked with my mom the whole way witch left me with nothing to do. It was obviously boring. We parked the car at Gold’s Gym and waited for Renny and Clara to come out from their dance class. It felt like a million hours until they came out (one reason was that I was very bored). They changed their clothes in their van. So far this trip to Worlds of Fun isn’t going so well for me.

When we got there, we looked at all of the rides. I was pretty amazed that I forgot it was so big. I asked if I could go on the Finish Fling and Renny’s mom said, “Okay.”

The Finish Fling was a little room where you spin around so fast that you stick to the wall. When the floor goes down, that’s when you really know you’re sticking to the wall. But don’t go on it too many times, you could get a stomachache. When I was done we went on the Sea Dragon. I thought it was pretty boring at first but when I went on it, it was really fun. It looks like a Vikings’ ship that swings up high back and forth and makes you feel like you’re going to fall out of your seat into the pond beneath it (just to let you know, it kind of makes you want to wet your pants).

That was when I started chanting, “Mamba! Mamba!”

But instead we went on a roller coaster called Patriot. I was actually surprised that I liked it since I predicted that I wouldn’t. It was different than all the other roller coasters ‘cause instead of sitting in a car, you’re actually sitting in seats that hang on some bars with wheels. I have to admit, it was one of the best rides I’ve ridden on. After that again I chanted, “Mamba! Mamba!”

Instead we went on the Boomerang. I already went on it before so I knew it was really fun so I didn’t really mind. It goes up a hill and then when you hear a “Psstt” sound, you drop rapidly and go in loopity-loops. After you go around and around, you go up another hill and after you hear a “Psstt” sound, you come down rapidly (again) and do the same thing but backwards. I rode it a few times. As usual I chanted, “Mamba! Mamba!”

Finally we got to go on the Mamba. It was the fastest roller coaster in the park. It was a giant roller coaster where you go up a really steep hill and drop at 75 mph! It was also followed by a series of smaller hills. They all lift you off of your seats.

We rode on many more rides too. I loved them all. It was a great trip.

Circus Page

Last Wed. I went to a circus with my mom. It was AWESOME! I think that the best part about it was the elephants. I felt like I was a teeny tiny ant compared to those big things. The elephants were probably 8 ft. tall! One elephant could fit six or seven kids. During intermission, I got to actually ride one! I also liked the ariel stars. They were amazing! I wish I could be as flexible as them. We spent almost all of our money on a pony ride for my sister, a bag of popcorn, some cotton candy, and the elephant ride. I think all that was worth the money.  Well, maybe the pony ride wasn’t that big of a deal. The circus was great! I can’t wait to go next year again! Maybe next year mommy will use my money. : (

Just wondering……

That is it for now……………………………..

25 Manners Every Kid Should Know By Age 9

Manner #1

When asking for something, say “Please.”

Manner #2

When receiving something, say “Thank you.”

Manner #3

Do not interrupt grown-ups who are speaking with each other unless there is an emergency. They will notice you and respond when they are finished talking.

Manner #4

If you do need to get somebody’s attention right away, the phrase “excuse me” is the most polite way for you to enter the conversation.

Manner #5

When you have any doubt about doing something, ask permission first. It can save you from many hours of grief later.

Manner #6

The world is not interested in what you dislike. Keep negative opinions to yourself, or between you and your friends, and out of earshot of adults.

Manner #7

Do not comment on other people’s physical characteristics unless, of course, it’s to compliment them, which is always welcome.

Manner #8

When people ask you how you are, tell them and then ask them how they are.

Manner #9

When you have spent time at your friend’s house, remember to thank his or her parents for having you over and for the good time you had.

Manner #10

Knock on closed doors — and wait to see if there’s a response — before entering.

Manner #11

When you make a phone call, introduce yourself first and then ask if you can speak with the person you are calling.

Manner #12

Be appreciative and say “thank you” for any gift you receive. In the age of e-mail, a handwritten thank-you note can have a powerful effect.

Manner #13

Never use foul language in front of adults. Grown-ups already know all those words, and they find them boring and unpleasant.

Manner #14

Don’t call people mean names.

Manner #15

Do not make fun of anyone for any reason. Teasing shows others you are weak, and ganging up on someone else is cruel.

Manner #16

Even if a play or an assembly is boring, sit through it quietly and pretend that you are interested. The performers and presenters are doing their best.

Manner #17

If you bump into somebody, immediately say “Excuse me.”

Manner #18

Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and don’t pick your nose in public.

Manner #19

As you walk through a door, look to see if you can hold it open for someone else.

Manner #20

If you come across a parent, a teacher, or a neighbor working on something, ask if you can help. If they say “yes,” do so — you may learn something new.

Manner #21

When an adult asks you for a favor, do it without grumbling and with a smile.

Manner #22

When someone helps you, say “thank you.” That person will likely want to help you again. This is especially true with teachers!

Manner #23

Use eating utensils properly. If you are unsure how to do so, ask your parents to teach you or watch what adults do.

Manner #24

Keep a napkin on your lap; use it to wipe your mouth when necessary.

Manner #25

Don’t reach for things at the table; ask to have them passed.

Poem-1: Father’s Day Poem

Dad is wierd but dad is cool,

Dad is sitting on a stool.

He CAN’T dance,

but he can cook.

He can catch a fish on a hook.

Dad is happy,

Dad is sad.

Dad is angry,

Dad is glad.

He’s okay,

He is fine,

He’s a dad,

And dad is mine!

World’s of FUNNO WUNNO

Emerald and I started on the sea dragon, and it was SICKO. It is the shape of a viking boat, and you sit in the seat s with bars for safety, and it sways back and forth. The problem was, we were smallish and when our side tilted up, we literally almost fell out of our seats! Like I said, it was SICKO.

After that, Emerald was chanting, MAMBA MAMBA, well u gedda point. We rode Viking Voyager with a 7th grade friend, Renny. It is a plume ride with small drops in the beginning and a hill at the end where you get a little wet.

After that, Emerald was chanting, MAMBA MAMBA, well u gedda point. Renny and her sister Clara in 8th grade wanted to go on the Patriot, so did I, and Emerald wasn’t that disappointed. It is a series of upside down loops with seats that attach to the bottom of the track while your legs handg down. If you shut your eyes tight, it is more comfortable.

After that, Emerald was chanting, MAMBA MAMBA, well u gedda point. I was gonna ride boomerang next. I was scared, but Crystalopal found me and said she would go on it with me! It is upside down loops and then you get to a stopping point, and go backwards the same way. Awesome!

After that, Emerald was chanting, MAMBA MAMBA, well u gedda point. And we went on it. Crystal came along and I chickened out ish with blue spinal. Renny convinced me and I do NOT REGRET!! It was SICKO, but awesome. It was the first ride I screamed on! There was a 205 ft. tall hill-drop, and I was anxious to know when we dropped. It goes on two smaller hill-drops and then really fast twists and then small camelbacks. LLLUUUUUUVVVVV IIITTTTT!

The Layout

I RECCOMEND IT EXTREMELY!!

What do you know about “Memorial Day”?

Memorial Day 2011 is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 30 in 2011). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. soldiers who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War. It was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars.

Memorial Day often marks the start of the summer vacation season, and Labor Day its end.

Begun as a ritual of remembrance and reconciliation after the Civil War, by the early 20th century, Memorial Day was an occasion for more general expressions of memory, as ordinary people visited the graves of their deceased relatives, whether they had served in the military or not. It also became a long weekend increasingly devoted to shopping, family get-togethers, fireworks, trips to the beach, and national media events such as the Indianapolis 500 auto race, held since 1911 on Memorial Day.

Memorial Day 2011 is on 30th May in 2011.

Worlds of Fun

Today, my friends and I went to Worlds of Fun. If you are a thrill seeker, I HIGHLY recommend the Mamba, Boomerang, Zulu, Patriot, and Detonator. There are a lot of other rides, but we left before I got to go on them. I LOOOOOVEEE Mamba and Patriot. Those are my most favorite rides EEEEEEEVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! The Mamba goes (I think) 205 ft. into the air going up, and then it’s basically a straight drop DOWN and then it goes up a smaller hill, and then it’s DOWN again and then it’s up on a straight platform and then it’s curved to the right going down and it keeps going in a circle until the roller coaster rights itself and you go up a few hills – there’s a camera – say cheese! – and then it’s on a really noisy platform and then down and then another noisy platform and then the ride is over.  Patriot goes upside down so beware! In Patriot, you don’t sit in little carts, you sit in…let’s say…legless seats. On Detonator, you go up a little and then, and then, you go up REALLY fast and then down and up and down and then it’s over. Don’t worry, you go up a pole thingy and the seats are the same as Patriot. Boomerang goes up kinda far and then it’s down and an upside down twist then an upside down loop and then it stops. It goes up and then back down only this time it’s backwards. I didn’t tell you but Boomerang is only a line – it’s not a loop like most of the others. It’s really loud though. Zulu is not a roller coaster. It is a circle with carts hanging down. Sorry, I can’t describe the looks extremely accurately, but it’s not super scary. All it does is spin, and then the center goes up until you’re straight up. May be this link will help:

Just look around the website and have fun!
