π (pi) Day! Is Pi round or square?

Yes, it’s Pi day! you may be wondering what it is! since it is March (3) fourteenth (14) and pi is 3.1415926535, the 3.14 is March 14th! My dad is baking an apple pie to celebrate! you should too. Next year, I am getting cream pie! *I hope*

A Little Pi Background…

The number Pi is, fundamentally, the ratio between the circumference and the diameter of any circle (circumference/diameter = Π). No one knows exactly who discovered pi; however, it is known that the ancient Greeks and Egyptians had decent approximations.
The Greek symbol for pi (Π) was first used in 1706…302 years ago!

* Q: What do you get when you take green cheese and divide its circumference by its diameter?

* Q:What do you get when you take the sun and divide its circumference by its diameter?

* Mathematician: Pi r squared”
* Baker: No! Pies are round, cakes are square!
